Abstract

The importance of articulating the governing functions of university institutions, teaching, research, and outreach, is essential for the transcendent achievement of the preeminent concept of the university, and in the specific case of public higher education in Guatemala, for fulfilling the constitutional mandate to address national issues with scientific grounding and a disposition for harmonizing a concert of capacities that enable reflection and proposals for solutions.
