belonging to a social group and to an educational center are variables of social capital, understood as the posibilita of accessing certain resources within a social context, altered by the COVID-19 pandemic and the obligatory nature of social distancing. We sought to establish the factors associated with social capital in diversified students in Guatemala City during the first months of the pandemic. The approach was quantitative, cross-sectional and predictive correlational scope. The sampling of the population was carried out by snowball in direct succession, obtaining 249 students between 15 and 24 years of age. For data collection, the following were used: integrated questionnaire for the measurement of social capital (SC-IQ), ¿questionnaire What is happening at school? -WHITS-, a section of the subscale Health and behavior problems of the questionnaire "How is your family?" and a self-made sociodemographic questionnaire. A binomial logistic regression was carried out having a significant model showing the odds ratios (OR): not living in the municipality of Guatemala 3,619, not being expelled 0.036, not being evangelical 2,013, not feeling nervous 2,228, not having sexual relations 3,289, high perception of academic connection 6,723, and of reports and help seeking 2,862. This shows that social capital is affected by psychosocial factors in a similar way to that shown in the existing literature, but due to the pandemic these results should be examined in the future.
