EditorialAbstract
Volume 6 of the Journal of Research from the School of Psychological Sciences aims to provide publications from the field of psychology and its professionals that contribute to research and reflection within the discipline. Additionally, it seeks, to the extent of its modest possibilities, to advocate for university autonomy and its public nature. Alongside the Guatemalan Journal of Psychology from the Postgraduate Department and the various publications from the Professional Research Unit (UIP), it contributes to the discourse and contemplation regarding the discipline, its intersections with other sciences, and its connection to the psycho-social reality of the country's inhabitants. Promoting contemplation, research, and aiding in the elevation of academic standards are intrinsic activities of academia. However, under these circumstances, it also becomes a component of a political process in defense of the university and its public character.
